My Favorite Christmas Music (And Why)

Good afternoon my lovelies! Hope ya’ll are having a fantastic 1st day of December!

The following music are some of my favorite songs that just put me into the Christmas mood! These aren’t in any particular order, and I will put a link to my Spotify playlist that includes even more awesome Christmas music!

Glorious – for KING & COUNTRY

If I’m being completely honest, anything by for KING & COUNTRY is awesome, but this song just makes me feel so much love and adoration for our Jesus Christ.

He is the miracle of the love that set the people free
He is the wonder of the world like we have never seen
(It’s so) Glorious
(He is) Glorious
(Yeah) Glory this is God with us

Christmas Dreamin’ – Leanna Crawford

This song is so sweet and cute, and has a super upbeat tempo. It perfectly describes a child’s dream and excitement for Christmas.

Oh, I’m wide awake
Christmas dreamin’. (Christmas dreaming)
Won’t be long till I’m seein’ (long till I’m seein’)
Everything that my heart has been wishing for
No, I just can’t shake
This feelin’ I’m feelin’ (feelin’ I’m feelin’)
I know I should be sleepin’ (I should be sleepin’)
But I’m wide awake, wide awake, wide awake
Christmas dreamin’

What Child Is This – Jake Owen

If you know me, you know that I adore most country music, and this song is the perfect country version! It makes me love this so just a tad bit more.

This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
Haste, haste to bring him laud
The Babe, the Son of Mary

Santa Baby – Lindsey Stirling

I have absolutely loved this song since I was little! Lindsey’s violin and spunky personality just makes this song even better!

Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing
A ring
I don’t mean on the phone
Santa baby, now hurry down the chimney tonight

Noel – Chris Tomlin & Lauren Daigle

Now I am not a huge fan of either Chris Tomlin or Lauren Daigle (no offense to any fans!), but this song is just absolutely breathtaking. I actually have the chance to sing and play (the piano) this song for a recital on the 14th.

Son of God and Son of man
There before the world began
Born to suffer, born to save
Born to raise us from the grave
Christ the everlasting Lord
He shall reign forevermore

Little Drummer Boy – for KING & COUNTRY

Again, a for KING & COUNTRY song, but this one is a family favorite. A portion of my family (including myself), was able to attended one of their concerts a few weeks ago, and for their closing song they played this. Let me tell you, the drums are awesome in the music, but in person they are literally AMAZING!

I played my drum for Him, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
Rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
Then He smiled at me, pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum

I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day – Casting Crowns

This song is so sweet and emotional that I have a hard time not crying when I listen to it.

Then rang the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead, nor doth He sleep (Peace on Earth, peace on Earth)
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men

Feelin’ Like Christmas – Sarah Reeves

Sarah Reeves as one of the prettiest voices i have ever heard, and this song just proves my point! This is one of my go to songs this holiday!

There’s a special glow inside this home a touch of candlelight
Cinnamon and cloves are coming from the kitchen stove tonight
Warm and cozy by the fire
Distant carols of the choir

I hope ya’ll enjoy the music! You can find the entire playlist here.

Tomorrow I hope to be able to share some new details about a new book idea, but we shall see how motivated I am to finish up my plot outline!

Goodbye for now!
